1. Agreement Overview

By renting an e-bike from Amped, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. This agreement is between you (the "Renter") and Amped ("We", "Us", or "Our"). The rental period, pricing, and services are subject to these terms. Please read them carefully before signing up.

2. Rental Period

Rentals are provided on a weekly basis at the rate of £39 per week.
You can cancel your rental at any time with one week’s notice.
The rental period begins on the date you receive your e-bike and continues until you cancel or return the bike.

3. Payment

Payment is collected weekly via your registered payment method.
Late payments may result in suspension of your rental service and possible retrieval of the e-bike.
All fees (rental, extras, repairs) are clearly outlined; there are no hidden charges.

4. Bike Maintenance

Routine maintenance and repairs for wear and tear are covered in your rental.
If the bike experiences any issues, bring it to our Central London location for same-day repairs.
Damage caused by misuse or negligence (e.g., crashes, off-road use) may incur repair costs, which will be charged to the Renter.

5. Battery Swapping

You are entitled to unlimited battery swaps at our Central London workshop during your rental period.
Extra batteries are available for an additional fee and are subject to availability.

6. Theft & Security

All e-bikes come equipped with GPS tracking, remote locking, a U-lock, and alarms.
In the event of theft, you must immediately notify Amped and file a police report.
We will activate GPS tracking and work with our recovery team to locate the bike.
Theft protection does not apply if the bike was left unlocked or if the provided security devices (U-lock, remote locking) were not used.

7. Insurance & Liability

Theft insurance is included in your rental. However, this does not cover damage or loss caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to secure the bike properly.
The Renter is responsible for the safe operation of the bike and any damage caused while in their possession.
Amped is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages incurred while using the bike. The Renter assumes all risks associated with using the e-bike.

8. Use of the Bike

The Renter agrees to use the e-bike in accordance with all UK traffic laws and regulations.
The e-bike is intended for on-road use only. Off-road riding, stunts, or racing are strictly prohibited.
You must not modify the bike in any way, including altering speed limitations or safety features.

9. Return of the Bike

At the end of your rental, you are responsible for returning the bike in good working condition.
If the bike is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, repair costs will be charged to you.
If the bike is not returned or is lost, you will be liable for the full replacement cost of the bike.

10. Cancellations & Termination

You can cancel your rental at any time by providing one week’s notice via our website or by contacting us directly.
Failure to pay or comply with the terms of this agreement may result in termination of the rental and retrieval of the bike.
Amped reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time for any breach of terms, misuse of the bike, or unsafe riding practices.

11. Extra Services

Additional services, such as extra batteries, wireless charging mounts, or other accessories, may be available for an extra fee. These fees will be clearly outlined at the time of request.

12. Privacy Policy

We collect personal information such as your name, contact details, and payment information for the purpose of providing our rental services.
Your data is securely stored and will not be shared with third parties, except for the purposes of bike recovery in the event of theft.

13. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated to you via email or through our website. Your continued use of our service after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under this agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By proceeding with your rental, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the above terms and conditions.
